Sampson County’s proximity to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) gives business owners and professionals access to 400 flights on nine airlines each day. CSX operates one Class 1 freight railroad that reaches the eastern United States, the provinces of Ontario and Quebec in Canada, and includes service to the Port of Morehead City. Transload facilities, via CSX and Norfolk Southern, are located in nearby Fayetteville. Sampson County puts companies within easy reach of two deepwater ports, the Port of Wilmington and Port of Morehead City.
